Origins of the "Quest"

About a week ago I was hanging out with my friends Violet, Julia, Kiya and Ali (our friend Sarah was missing at the time). Now, out of this group of six, Violet, Julia, Sarah and I are all Quakers, or Friends, whichever you prefer. Because of this, our religion is often a topic (in various ways), and that night was no different.

But there was a difference...

This night, Kiya informed us that she wished to join us for meeting (meeting is what Quakers call church) and Ali then chimed up saying she too would like to go, assuming we all were to be going as well (which totally makes sense seeing as Quaker worship is silent, and that can scare people away if they go alone I'm sure). Needless to say, we all agreed that we would all go to meeting the next Sunday together.

From this we decided that we all wanted to see what other churches and religious groups were like and we decided that we want to check out a different church for the rest of the summer.

For some of us this may be a "quest" to find faith, and for some it's a "quest" to understand faith. For other's it's simply out of pure fascination. We'll see what it ends up being, but all I know is, I plan to write about it all.
